president to resign
BOISE, Idaho
Boise Cascade Corp. said recently that Jon Miller, its president and chief operating officer, is leaving the company in less than two weeks to pursue private business interests.
John Fery, board chairman and chief executive officer, said he will assume Miller's responsibilities.
Miller's resignation is effective Oct. 31.
Miller joined Boise Cascade 29 years ago and held a number of management positions in the company's paper- and building-products businesses before being named president in 1978.
Boise Cascade is an integrated forest-products company.
