Three Plead Not Guilty In Kidnapping Case
Three men accused in a kidnapping plot pleaded not guilty yesterday to the felony crimes.
Donald Miniken Jr., 34, of Des Moines, owner of a South King County construction company, entered a plea to two counts of first-degree kidnapping and one count of attempted first-degree extortion.
Miniken is accused of the 1987 kidnapping of Vincent Mullally, a North Seattle contractor. The second victim, John Farrell, an antique car collector, was lured to a Tukwila Inn in 1988 by a man who said he had several antique cars for sale.
Dean Dotson, 26, and James Glaefke, 30, were charged in connection with the 1988 case. They also were arraigned yesterday before King County Superior Court Judge Jim Bates. The two are charged with one count each of first-degree kidnapping. Bail is $2 million for Miniken and $500,000 each for the alleged accomplices.
