Pizza Delivery Halted After Dark
A Domino's Pizza franchise holder has discontinued service after dark in northeast Portland due to increased gang violence in the area.
Michael Kauth, owner of 25 Dominos stores in the Portland area, said Friday his drivers have been robbed of pizzas and the small amount of change they carry.
Kauth recently changed the color of his hot bags, used to keep pizzas warm, from red to brown because the red bags had become a status symbol for Bloods gang members.
Delivery will be halted in a 2-square-mile area.
