UW Crew Teams Swamp Osu

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Crews representing the University of Washington won all but one race of a seven-race dual regatta against Oregon State yesterday on the Willamette River.

The Huskies' junior-varsity eight lineup, racing in the women's varsity eight race to tune up for Saturday's dual with rival California, scored a four-second win over Oregon State, winning with a time of 7:02.

In the men's varsity eight race, Washington's finished in 5:50, beating Oregon State's varsity by six seconds over the 2,000 meters.

Washington's varsity eights, the men's junior-varsity eight, and the first novice and freshman eights remained behind in Seattle to practice.

The Huskies will row against California Saturday.
