Reebok `Bungee' Ad Filmed In State Returns To TV
The controversial Reebok commercial filmed at Deception Pass, pulled off the air last month, returned to network television Wednesday night. The ad ran during CBS' ``Wiseguy'' series.
The commercial was pulled after airing during an NCAA basketball game on CBS. NBC and ABC refused to run it.
The ad shows two professional bungee-jumpers diving off the Deception Pass Bridge with elastic shock cords attached to their ankles. The jumper wearing the Reebok Pumps pops back up at the end of his jump while the other, wearing a rival brand, apparently heads for a swim.
The ad wasn't changed, according to a Reebok spokeswoman. But this time it contained two printed warnings: ``What you are about to see is very dangerous. The activity requires special equipment and training. This is a dramatization.'' and ``Extremely dangerous. Don't try this''.
The spokeswoman said the ad will appear only after 10 p.m. wherever it is aired.
