Police Unable To Find Man Charged In Slaying

POLICE UNABLE TO FIND MAN CHARGED IN SLAYING

TUKWILA

A man suspected in the stabbing death of a Seattle man last Sunday in a Tukwila restaurant has been charged with first-degree murder, but police still haven't been able to find the suspect.

Authorities say Eden R. Cueva, 34, fled from the lounge of King's Restaurant after stabbing Armando S. Velasco, 43.

The King County prosecutor's office charged Cueva Thursday and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Detectives are investigating several possible motives for the slaying, including revenge for a 10-year-old homicide, said Tukwila Sgt. Keith Haines.

Velasco was released from prison last year after being convicted of second-degree murder for shooting a man during an illegal gambling session.

Velasco's death also could be gang-related, Haines said.
