Mattar, Sznajder Reach Rio De Janeiro Tennis Final

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Top-seeded Luiz Mattar of Brazil and Canada's Andrew Sznajder won yesterday to advance to the final of the $250,000 Banespa Open tennis tournament.

Mattar, ranked 49th in the world, earned a final berth with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Canada's Martin Wostenholme. Sznajder downed surprise contender Brian Garrow of the United States 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.
